An Evangelical Minister Rethinks Communion – Grant Adams

Through his time in ministry school and during his years serving in various congregational leadership roles, Grant Adams wanted to preach the Gospel faithfully, and worship Jesus truly.

During those years, he helped lead the Lord’s Supper in a number of different contexts, and while they were meaningful in their own way, Grant felt like something important was missing from his understanding of what Jesus had called his apostles to do at their last meal together.

Grant shares how his desire to honor the words and intention of Jesus at the Last Supper led him to look into the practice of the earliest Christians, and discover a Eucharistic theology that resolved the questions and tension he’d been dealing with about the meaning of Holy Communion.
