The latest from CHNetwork

The July 2023 CHNewsletter is out! Read it here.

This week’s episode of The Journey Home was an encore of our conversation with Mac and Katherine Barron about their path from Evangelical Protestantism to the Catholic Church.

Our latest written conversion story comes from Deacon Dennis Lambert, who shared how he came to rediscover the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist.

And on a new Insights video, Sr. Diana Marie Andrews, O.P, reflected on the conversion of her order’s foundress, Rose Hawthorne, who died on July 9, 1926.

CONVERTS AND CONVERSION

Joseph Pearce reflected on the Catholic conversion of Sir Alec Guinness, famous for his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars.

And July 7 marks the feast of Bl. Peter To Rot, who came from a family of converts in Papua New Guinea and was killed for his faith by Japanese soldiers during World War II.

APOLOGETICS PICKS OF THE WEEK

Matt Nelson looked at what separates humans from animals.

And Christine Flynn, who dabbled in the occult before becoming Catholic, shared some ideas for how to reach out to those caught up in witchcraft.

A member struggling with the idea of devotion to Mary, another member whose educational plans will change radically if they become Catholic, and all our members who came into the Church at Easter, and are still getting their “sea legs” as Catholics — these are just a few of the people we are praying for and working with at The Coming Home Network.  Please help us continue to support those on the journey by visiting chnetwork.org/donate today!
