Mac and Katherine Barron – Former Evangelical Protestants

Mac Barron’s family attended a local Free Will Baptist congregation in their Georgia hometown, and Katherine went to a Methodist church nearby. They met in a youth camp, and later on reconnected and fell in love. Mac’s best friend growing up was Catholic, but when he mentioned his interest in the Church to Katherine, she was shocked, and thought she might have to break up with him! She began to do research, especially on the Eucharist, and when she started to understand why the Church teaches what it does, she became even more enthusiastic about becoming Catholic than Mac was.
