“I realized there were certain Bible verses I could no longer preach around.” – Fr. Ed Meeks
Fr. Edward Meeks was raised Catholic, and even went to seminary, but in the confusion going on in the Church in the 1960’s and 70’s, he ended up leaving to go first to the Assemblies of God, and then the Charismatic Episcopal Church, in which he became a priest. When the Personal Ordinariate was announced by Pope Benedict XVI, he felt a strong conviction to return to the Catholic Church, and did so; and his entire congregation entered the Catholic Church with him!
Fr. Edward Meeks was raised Catholic, but spent time in the Assemblies of God, Charismatic Episcopal and Anglican Churches before being received and ordained in the Catholic Church through the personal ordinariate established by Pope Benedict XVI. The day after his Catholic ordination, his entire parish was received into the Church with him.
