Mike Peters – Former Nondenominational Christian

June 5, 2018 No Comments

Mike Peters was raised Episcopalian, but after a radical encounter with Jesus as a young man, he left behind what he thought of as “dead,” ritualistic religion for a vibrant life of faith. ┬áHe went into campus ministry, eventually doing so full-time. When he was in seminary, his theology became more and more Calvinistic, and yet he was troubled by the implications of Calvinism on the theology of mission; if God chose His elect without their consent, what was the point of preaching the Gospel to the nations? ┬áMike’s hunger for truth and desire to follow Jesus eventually led him to study the history, liturgy and theology of the Catholic Church.
