Matt Leonard – Former Methodist

Matt Leonard was a preacher’s kid, raised in a strong Christian environment, mostly in the Methodist and Holiness traditions. His first questions about Christian authority and Scripture interpretation came up when he was going to a Wesleyan church but a Calvinist school, and finding out that lots of Christians were in major disagreement on some major issues. After some mission work and more study of the issues, he realized that the Catholic Church was the guardian of the deposit of faith, and the pillar and bulwark of truth.
