Kerstin Pakka – Former Nominal Christian
Kerstin Pakka grew up with a sense of Christianity as a moral code, but faith to her was always something she would get flashes of and sense from time to time, but had trouble grasping.
When she had an abortion, she felt both a deep need for God’s love, but also a fear that what she’d done would cut her off from His mercy. After years of wrestling with all of it, she finally talked to a priest about becoming Catholic, afraid that her abortion would disqualify her from joining the Church.
Instead, what she found was love, forgiveness, mercy and a path to healing through the sacraments, as well as resources to process the pain of her abortion decision through Project Rachel.
