Jessica Ptomey – Former Evangelical Protestant

Jessica Ptomey’s parents had a born-again experience as young adults, and wanted Jessica to encounter Christ from a young age as well. She can never remember a time when she didn’t believe in and love Jesus, but she also remembers bouncing around from church to church, and being troubled at the differences and disunity she saw. As she pursued advanced degrees in communications, she began to wonder about the language we use to worship God, and that led to more questions about history, liturgy and sacramental theology. Jessica and her husband followed those questions until they led them to the Catholic Church.
