Fr. Daniel Bowen – Former Jehovah’s Witness

Fr. Daniel Bowen was raised as a Jehovah’s Witness, and that shaped his understanding of God as a young man. However, when he started dating a Catholic, she introduced him to the Mass and he became fascinated by the Eucharist. He had grown up believing that Catholicism was anti-Biblical, but the deeper he searched, the more he realized that it was the true Church that not only was faithful to the Bible, but also had produced the Bible from its tradition. He followed Christ’s call first into the Catholic Church, and then into priesthood as a Mercedarian.
