Ernie Freeman, former Assemblies of God pastor

Marcus welcomes former Assemblies of God member and fellow alum of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary Ernie Freeman. Ernie grew up in Mississippi in a Southern Pentecostal environment with only a negative connotation of Catholicism. His first encounter with a Catholic liturgy was in military basic training. After attending a Biblical studies program and attending Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, he worked as an independent charismatic leader and an Assemblies of God pastor. However, every time he stepped to the pulpit he had the same restless thought: “Lord, I hope this is the truth, that this is the proper interpretation.”

His desire to know God’s truth led him in a direction he never expected.
