Elvis Grbac – Catholic Revert
Elvis Grbac was raised in a strong Catholic family from Croatia, and while he practiced his faith as a young man, he didn’t have a personal relationship with Jesus. He went on to find incredible success as a quarterback, first at the University of Michigan, then in the NFL with the 49ers, Chiefs and Ravens, but even a Super Bowl ring wasn’t enough to give him the fulfillment he desired. After retirement, he felt completely empty and purposeless, but with the help of his wife, and a return to the sacrament of Confession, he found that the answers he’d been looking for all along were there in the very Catholic faith that he had neglected for so many years.
Elvis Grbac was raised Catholic, but didn’t truly begin to take his faith seriously until after a career in the NFL. A standout quarterback for the University of Michigan, he went on to play for the 49ers, Chiefs and Ravens, making the pro-bowl and earning a Super Bowl ring. He speaks at parishes and men’s conferences, and can be reached through elvisgrbac.com.
