Bill was brought up in the Presbyterian Church but had no relationship with Jesus Christ. He came to a personal relationship with Christ reading the Gospels while recuperating from major surgery. He attended Gordon-Conwell Seminary and was ordained a Presbyterian (PCA) minister. Even while in seminary Bill began to wonder where the Bible came from and how and on what authority the canon of Holy Scripture developed. His pursuit of these issues ultimately led him into full-communion with the Catholic Church.
