Alan has been a professor of theology at Franciscan University of Steubenville since 1978. He received his Doctorate in Theology from University of St. Michael’s College in Toronto, in 1979. He also holds a Master of Arts degree in Theology from University of St. Michael’s College and a Bachelor of Arts degree Summa Cum Laude in Theology and English from University of Notre Dame. He and his wife Nancy live in Steubenville, where they have raised five children. He is the author of “Catholic and Christian: An Explanation of Commonly Misunderstood Catholic Beliefs,” “The Catholic Challenge: Why Just Being Catholic Isn’t Enough Anymore” and “Hearts Aflame: The Holy Spirit at the Heart of Christian Life Today.”
