Damian Santiago – Formerly Unchurched

August 8, 2017 2 Comments

Damian Santiago grew up in a chaotic home, and ended up being raised by his sister.  When the opportunity to do cocaine came along, Damian went for it, becoming both an addict and a dealer.  Faith played almost zero role in his life until college, when a high school friend began to invite him to Mass.  It was there that Damian began to feel the peace he’d been seeking all his life, and pursued God’s call into the Catholic Church and later, campus ministry.

Thank you, Damian, for sharing your story. I am sure God will continue to use your testimony to bring hurting people to Him.

Unbelievable. Praise the Lord for this testimony!! On the Holy Eucharist – I was a protestant for more than 30 years. By the Lord’s grace, I was received into full communion with His Church this last Easter. Some realities, like the Real Presence are still a struggle to me. It’s a true mystery of the faith! I believe in it, but I want to have more experience with it. When I heard you mentioning your experience of seeing the face of Jesus on the Eucharistic bread, I was deeply touched! It strengthened my faith and encouraged me to seek Him more in Eucharistic adoration!! I was so touched that I praised the Lord for all that happened in your whole life Damian! The Lord kept you life since birth. He let you taste and see by yourself how empty, dry and sad is the world without Him. He touched you with the sound of His Holy Name, He came to you in your dreams. He kept you alive even while you went through “the valley of the shadow of death”! Hallelujah! Amen.
