As part of the Church of Christ/Restorationist movement, Dr. David Russell Mosley grew up in a Christian tradition that placed a high priority on the Lord’s Supper. So when he began to explore Catholicism, he was at first frustrated that he couldn’t receive Communion because he wasn’t Catholic.
Dr. Mosley, now a Catholic, explains how he came to understand why those distinctions exist between Protestant and Catholics on this question, and why we should still seek common ground, even if we can’t share communion together.
