As an Evangelical Christian, John Bacon felt a nagging frustration with the concept of worship, and whether the services he was attending were focused on God, or focused more on his own desire to have an emotional experience.
The questions this raised for him would eventually lead him to explore the roots of Christian liturgy, taking him first to ordination as a priest in the Anglican tradition, and eventually to the doorstep of the Catholic Church.
