The New Israel and the People of God – Matthew Leonard

As an Evangelical Protestant, when Matthew Leonard thought of the Scriptural idea of the “New Israel,” he immediately thought of the end times, and how Israel is mentioned in apocalyptic passages in the Bible. When he started to learn more about Catholic theology, the idea of the “New Israel” became a much larger one for him; he began to realize that the Church is also the New Israel, tasked with the mission of bringing all of the nations into the family of God.
