The Holy Spirit in the Life of the Church – Matthew Leonard
As a pastor’s kid who grew up with experience in Pentecostal and Charismatic congregations, Matthew Leonard had the impression that the Holy Spirit’s working was something that could primarily be discerned through external signs like prophecy and tongues. Through prayer and studying Scripture, Matthew began to develop a greater understanding of the interior work of the Spirit in the Christian life, beyond the external signs. And when he discovered that the Catholic Mass had a harmony of exterior signs and interior participation, with the Holy Spirit as the facilitator of all liturgical action, the pieces finally came together for him.
