In his work in Evangelical ministry, Deacon Joe Allison was often frustrated by the homogenous nature of so many worshipping communities; it was all too common for these congregations to be separated by race, economic status, and other external factors.
As he began to explore the Catholic Faith, he was delighted to find that while local congregations reflected the demographics of local communities, the very nature of the Church meant that it extended around the world, into every culture, to rich and poor alike, as the family of God in the world.
