Rediscovering Lent – Alicia Baker
Growing up Catholic, Alicia Baker had a fairly superficial understanding of Lent; mostly for her it just meant giving up sweets until Easter. After years away from the Church, and a return to faith through a traumatic set of life experiences, she came to realize the beauty of this season of heading into the desert with Christ, and connecting with the sacrifice that He has made for us all.
