Without a metaphysical understanding of what a human person is, it’s difficult to come up with a solid moral foundation that guides us in how humans should treat one another. Mike Aquilina argues that the categories of Greek philosophy, which were used by the early Church as a way of interpreting Scripture, provide the kind of concrete guidance needed to defend the dignity of the most vulnerable in society amid a postmodern and fluid understanding of morality.
