Though raised Catholic, as a young woman, Sr. Theresa Alethia Noble considered herself an atheist. And yet, when she would visit a majestic cathedral, or see a beautiful sunrise, she felt a surge of gratitude in her heart, but had nowhere to direct it, since she didn’t believe in God. Now as a Catholic sister with the Daughters of St. Paul, she shares how she sees beauty as vehicle for showing forth the mystery of God in ways that pure reason alone is unable to do.
