As a member of the Church of Christ, Rachelle Parker didn’t think much about what happens to Christians after death, other than the fact that they go to heaven. But if it was their living out the call to love God and neighbor that got them there, wouldn’t both of those loves be perfected in them now that they’re infinitely closer to God than they were in their mortal lives? Rachelle shares how she came to understand and appreciate Catholic teaching that the holy men and women who have gone before us are more alive than ever, and are a cloud of witnesses who pray for us as their family on earth.
