Catholicism vs. New Age Enlightenment – Nick De La Torre

When Nick De La Torre joined a Unitarian congregation, it wasn’t for some altruistic spiritual motive; it was more because of the opportunity to participate in their music. However, the deeper he got into it, the more he realized that the desires for enlightenment and self-actualization that he found in New Age ideas were good, but directed in the wrong way. It led him to revisit the Catholic Church he had left as a child, where he found a concept of enlightenment and fulfillment through Jesus Christ that spoke deeply into the very essence of what it means to be human.
