Gratitude, Joy and the Hope of the Resurrection: Phil 4:7 and I Thess 4:16-17 – Marcus Grodi and Seth Paine

September 26, 2019 No Comments

God is in control, even if we can’t see it. God will redeem all of our troubles and trials, even if it’s hard for us to conceive at the moment. On the latest Deep in Scripture episode, Marcus Grodi and Seth Paine look at a couple of passages from the writings of St. Paul that remind us that Jesus Christ is the Lord of our history, our present, and our future, and that if we truly rely on him, we will find the peace that we long for.

“And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will keep your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” -Philippians 4:7

“For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.” -I Thessalonians 4:16-17
