Luke 1:37-38

For there is nothing too hard for God.

“I am the Lord’s servant” said Mary: “May it be done unto me as thou wilt.”

Luke 14:7-11

Jesus noticed that some of the guests were choosing the best places, so He told them this parable:

“When someone invites you to a wedding feast, do not sit down at the best place.  It could happen that someone more important than you has been invited, and your host, who invited both of you, would have to come and say to you, “Let him (her) have this place.”  Then you would be embarrassed and have to sit in the lowest place.  Instead, when you are invited, go and sit in the lowest place, so that your host will come to you and say, “Come up my friend, to a better place.”  This will bring you honor in the presence of all the other guests.  For those who exalt themselves shall be humbled, and those who humble themselves shall be exalted.”

 Matthew 7:13-14, 21-23

Enter in through the straight gate; for wide is the gate, and broad is the way that leads to destruction; and many there be who go in thereat.

How narrow is the gate, and straight the way, that leads to life; and few there be that find it!….

Not everyone that saith unto me Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven; but he (she) that does the will of my Father who is in heaven, this one shall enter into heaven.

Many will say to me in that day; Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Thy name, and cast out devils in Thy name, and done many miracle in Thy name?

And then I will profess unto them, I never knew you; depart from me, you that work iniquity.
