The Cup of Oblivion? – Episode 13
As Marcus Grodi and Msgr. Jeffrey Steenson continue their study of Against Heresies by St. Irenaeus of Lyons, they look at how St. Irenaeus engaged the Gnostics in regard to the meaning of the human person.
The Gnostics denied the resurrection of the body, but St. Irenaeus affirmed it. The Gnostics saw the material world as evil; but St. Irenaeus reminded us that Jesus himself took on human flesh as an affirmation of the goodness of the world that God has created.
