Elvis Grbac was raised in a strong Catholic family from Croatia, and while he practiced his faith as a young man, he didn’t have a personal relationship with Jesus. He went on to find incredible success as a quarterback, first at the University of Michigan, then in the NFL with the 49ers, Chiefs and Ravens, but even a Super Bowl ring wasn’t enough to give him the fulfillment he desired. After retirement, he felt completely empty and purposeless, but with the help of his wife, and a return to the sacrament of Confession, he found that the answers he’d been looking for all along were there in the very Catholic faith that he had neglected for so many years.
