Long before he became a Mennonite pastor, Chris O’Keefe had powerful examples in his family of what it meant to show the love of Jesus to those in need, especially through his father’s prison ministry, and his extended family’s work in funeral homes.
Chris shares how he’s come to an even deeper appreciation of these acts of Christian love by understanding them in the larger picture of the Corporal Works of Mercy.
The Seven Corporal Works of Mercy:
1. Feed the hungry
2. Give drink to the thirsty
3. Clothe the naked
4. Shelter the homeless
5. Visit the sick
6. Visit the imprisoned
7. Bury the dead
