A Protestant Pastor Hears a New Call – Fr. Randy Sly

Fr. Randy Sly had said yes to God when he went into ministry as a Wesleyan pastor.

He said yes to God again when that call took him to the Charismatic Episcopal Church, where he eventually became a bishop.

So when he discerned that it was indeed God’s voice calling him to take a new step of faith and trust and enter the Catholic Church, he did so; with no guarantees he’d ever serve in a formal ministry role again.

Years later, when that opportunity for ordained ministry came back through the newly established Personal Ordinariate, it was yet another chance for Fr. Sly to say yes to God.
