Coming from a Presbyterian background, Jeremy McLellan grappled with the relationship of intellectual assent to the question of what it means to be a Christian. This question became especially pronounced when he began working with people who had intellectual disabilities.

He shares how he came to embrace an understanding of Christianity that went beyond mere intellectual agreement with a set of principles, to a robust life of faith embracing the totality of the human person.
