As a Protestant pastor who became Catholic, Jeff Cavins is often asked why Catholics don’t take some of the methods that make Protestant services so engaging and incorporate them into the Mass. As Jeff points out, Catholics would do well to work harder on building better Bible studies, small groups, and youth ministry; but the Mass serves a very different purpose than a Protestant worship service. Jeff talks about why we should cultivate a better appreciation of the Mass for what it is, but also work harder on fostering community in other aspects of parish life.
