The May CHNewsletter is here! Check out the latest conversion story, member prayer requests, Joyful Journey updates, and a lot more…

This week’s episode of The Journey Home was a special discussion of COVID-19 and how our faith can help us in these challenging times. Marcus covered a lot of ground!

We published a new written conversion story from Alan Truong, whose study of history led him to the Catholic Church, but who didn’t really “get” the Eucharist until he’d been Catholic for a few years.

On the latest Deep in History episode, Marcus Grodi and Msgr. Jeffrey Steenson took a look at the life and times of St. Irenaeus of Lyons.

In a new episode of On the Journey, Ken Hensley and Matt Swaim looked at whether sola Scriptura is actually taught in the pages of the New Testament.

On Deep in Scripture, Marcus Grodi and Jim Anderson looked at a couple of passages that remind us that God is in control, even during difficult circumstances.

And on the latest Insights video short, Jeff Cavins had some thoughts for those who are frustrated that Catholic Mass doesn’t seem as welcoming as some Protestant worship services.

Meanwhile, around the web…

CONVERTS AND CONVERSION

Jonathan Roumie, who plays Jesus in the TV series “The Chosen,” shared how playing that role has impacted his faith, and a bit about how he ended up becoming Catholic.

A new edition of Alister McGrath’s influential book on justification marks an interesting shift in the Protestant historian’s take on the question.

And former Presbyterian pastor Jim Tonkowich reflected on the differences between Protestant and Catholic virtual worship.

APOLOGETICS PICKS OF THE WEEK

Tim Staples and Cy Kellet looked at what it means to say that the Church is apostolic.

And Jared Staudt explored why we say that Jesus rose from the dead “according to the Scriptures.”

A pastor who’s interested in the Church but worried how they’ll support their family if they become Catholic, a recent convert who feels alienated from her family, and all our members whose plans to enter the Church continue to be on hold because of the COVID-19 pandemic – these are just a few examples of the people we are praying for and working with at The Coming Home Network International. Please help us continue to support those on the journey by visiting chnetwork.org/donate today!
