Jehovah’s Witness vs. Catholic Communion – Cary Dabney

April 3, 2020 No Comments

Growing up as a Jehovah’s Witness, Cary Dabney’s congregation commemorated the Lord’s Supper with a memorial service once a year, where bread and wine were passed, but nobody could partake unless they believed they were part of the 144,000 elect mentioned in Revelation 14. Later, as Cary explored the Catholic faith, he was stunned by the Church’s teaching on the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. And even though Cary had graduate degrees in theology, ultimately, it was not an argument, but a personal experience with Jesus Christ that drew Cary to the Blessed Sacrament.
