Guy was raised in a Catholic home in New Jersey where he spent his childhood trapping muskrat, camping, hunting and Scouting. Catholic in name he fell into the shares of secularism and pride. In the Vietnam War he was shot down on December 20, 1967. He and fellow pilot, Col. Craner were captured and imprisoned in the Hanoi Hilton. Tom was reared Lutheran but he and his wife became Episcopalian in 1960. He very involved in the Anglo-Catholic movement and considered themself Catholic. With much pain he watched the Anglican Communion flounder and fall apart without any source of true authority. Looking about he discovered that the Catholic Church is the only church that teaches with the authentic authority of Jesus Christ.
