Vern and Chad Steiner – Former Evangelical Protestants

Vern Steiner was raised with a strong foundation of faith that led him into academia and ministry, with a focus on the Bible and Biblical languages. His son Chad followed in his footsteps, and the two of them ended up working together at a Bible institute founded by Vern. However, when questions of unity, authority and the nature of the Church led Chad to Catholicism, Vern was at first deeply troubled, and decided to research these questions for himself. Now as joyful Catholics, Vern and Chad have together founded the Emmaus Institute for Biblical Studies in Nebraska, helping Catholics dig deeper into the richness of the Scriptures.
