Robert Tunmire lived the first part of his life completely secular, going through a couple of marriages and even being responsible for an abortion.
In 1999, a series of connected experiences caused him to reassess his life, and he visited a Bible church and was hooked. He was baptized, and got immediately involved in men’s ministries.
Robert ended up marrying a Catholic and splitting time between his church and Mass. When he hosted a men’s group from the Catholic parish for a campout on his property, the men began to ask him for the first time about his reasons for not being Catholic. He realized he didn’t have a good answer, and began to seriously research Catholicism, entering the Church in 2004.
