Rhonda Gruenewald’s mom was Methodist, but her dad didn’t even want a Bible in the house, so she had zero religious upbringing, even after the divorce of her parents revealed a need for deeper meaning. She went on to teach English, and found faith as a Methodist before meeting her husband, a Catholic.
Through him, she fell in love with the Church and became Catholic, but in the early days, balancing work and motherhood, her formation was a bit of a blur. It would be a few years later that her faith would truly awaken, and in the midst of that, Rhonda discovered that she had a passion to promote and support religious vocations. She is the founder of Vocation Ministry, which equips dioceses to nurture and promote religious vocations in families and parishes.
