Lou Everett moved around quite a bit in his early life due to his father’s military assignments. There was little faith formation until age nine when his parents joined the Jehovah’s Witnesses. For the next twelve years the family lived as devotees to that tradition. Following high school, Lou became a Pioneer (evangelist) for them, until spiritual doubts began to emerge. Now married with a child, Lou took time away to read and study, seeking answers to his questions. But, ultimately this questioning led to his dismissal from the Jehovah’s Witnesses and shunning from all affiliates, including his own parents. Lou walks us through the difficulties that emerged in his life as a result, and what brought him eventually to the truth of the Catholic Church.
