Kevin Lents: Former Methodist

January 9, 2006 Conversion Stories, Methodist

Kevin’s father was Catholic and his mother sort of Protestant. He was baptized into the Church but the family never went to Mass. At the age of 6, his parents divorced and be started attending a United Methodist church with his mother, but he didn’t continue to attended services. When he married, his wife was Catholic but he considered himself to be a secularist. He began attending Mass with his family after visiting the grotto at Notre Dame University after a football game. His faith in God through Jesus Christ became real to him through attending a ”Christ Renews His Parish” weekend retreat.
