Joshua grew up in Lubbock, Texas, where he remembers being surrounded by restaurants and Churches- and yet he had almost no experience of Catholicism until his college years. Nagging questions about who had the legitimate authority to interpret scripture eventually led to him becoming connected with a Catholic campus ministry at Texas Tech, where he seemed to find all of the questions about the moral and spiritual realities he’d been struggling with could be satisfied by the Catholic Church. At the heart of all of it was an issue that had bothered him from childhood- if all we need is Jesus for salvation, and the Holy Spirit to understand the scriptures, then why do so many of us get up so early on Sunday mornings? We hope you enjoy the first episode of Season 20 of The Journey Home!
