John grew up in Ireland taking his Catholic faith for granted. As a teen, he went through the motions to please his parents. Once he graduated from high school and went abroad to England, he attended Mass for a while but slowly drifted away from church. His life became trapped on the treadmill of secularism. After a failed marriage and remarriage outside of the Church, John was motivated to return to Christ and his Church after a Muslim friend attempted to convert him. His research to answer his friend’s questions about Christianity motivated him to begin his journey home to the Catholic Church.
Thank you for keeping your interviews available on line. I found much in John Gunn’s interview to share with my male family members. Excellent.
