Fr. Eric Roush didn’t grow up in a churchgoing family, although he did have a couple of Christian friends in high school. During his freshman year of college, while he was struggling with his purpose in life, his grandmother passed away. Knowing her to be a daily Bible reader, Fr. Eric decided to honor her memory by reading through the Scriptures through the first time. He encountered Christ there in a transformative way, and when he attended his first Mass, he knew that the Jesus he’d been reading about in the Gospels was truly there in the Blessed Sacrament before him.
