Fr. Carleton P. Jones, OP: Former Episcopal Priest

Father Jones was raised Unitarian and Congregationalist in New Hampshire. His parents were active and alive intellectually. From them he learned authority and obedience. In high school he became active in the Episcopal Church. After graduating from Yale University, he entered seminary and was ordained an Episcopal priest, later joining the Anglican religious community known as the Cowley Fathers. Reading the works of Blessed John Henry Cardinal Newman led him to be received into the Catholic Church, in 1982. Later, he was ordained as a Catholic priest in the Dominican Order.

Hello, My name is Leonardo and I love Fr. Carleton P. Jones. In the interview you mention a three volume catechests text books from priory press. Could you give me some more detailed references for them, please?

Here’s the titles of the three books in the Dominican Series:

Vol. 1: God Calls You: in Conformity With the Catechism of the Catholic Church

Vol. 2: Responding to God: A Textbook in Moral Theology

Vol. 3: Jesus Is the Way: Christ, Church, Sacrament: In Conformity with the Catechism of the Catholic Church

I believe the author of all three books is Richard Butler.
