Open-Line With Fr. Bryan Patterson: Former Lutheran

February 4, 2002 Conversion Stories, Lutheran

Marcus and Father Bryan answer open-line questions from the Journey Home audience.

Father Patterson was reared in a nominally Christian family. As a teen he accepted Jesus. Through a friend he joined the Lutheran Church. He was received into full-communion with the Catholic Church as a young adult. Though gifted in the field of science he eventually soon discerned a vocation to the priesthood. He was ordained a Catholic priest in 1998, after studying in New York and Rome. Aside from his parish ministry, Father also teaches Theology at St. John’s University.
