Paul was raised in a godly home. His father was a Baptist minister. As a teen he led the Campus Life Club and latter attended Dallas Theological Seminary and the Talbot School of Theology. During his studies, the many theologians who radically disagreed with one another but believed in the authority of the Bible disturbed him. He was ordained a pastor of an Independent Bible Church and participated in many foreign missions. When his eldest son sent him a 180 page letter explaining why he had become a Catholic Christian, Paul began his own journey to the Catholic Church. He was surprised to discover that the Catholic Church was founded by Jesus Christ.
