Doug Lessells: Former Non-Denominational Christian

Emmy-award sportscaster Doug Lessells joins Marcus on this Journey Home episode.  Instilled with the lessons and values of decent living but without a strong faith foundation, Doug found that attending church and growing spiritually were not part of his daily routine in college nor beyond.  It was about developing the tools and connections to becoming outstanding in the field of sports reporting.  Doug states that even though he was achieving success and doing good charitable works, and had recently committed himself to Christ, he was not yet living a comprehensive life of faith.  It was not until meeting and marrying a devout Catholic woman, that Doug began to understand what the Catholic Church offered in terms of structure and discipline that would enable him to grow into true discipleship, both within his family and in his vocation.
