Doug and Dawn Doughan grew up in the same small town in Iowa, Doug in a large Catholic family, and Dawn in a large Methodist family. When their marriage started having early trouble, they found great help from Evangelical friends, and that’s who they started going to church with. Doug began to be asked to take on more and more leadership roles, but disunity among Christians troubled him. While wrestling with this, he came across the testimony of Dr. John Bergsma, whose story was reflective of his own. Meeting the Bergsma family was a major turning point in Doug and Dawn’s journey toward worshipping together as Catholics.
