Daniel was brought up in a faithful Southern Baptist home in Alabama. At the age of six, he went down the aisle and accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. As he matured, Daniel wanted a deeper and more intimate relationship with God. He was frustrated in this desire because of the Baptist strong emphasis of conversion but not much beyond. His discovery of C. S. Lewis began to open him to things Catholic. In college, while working though a Great Books program, Daniel was exposed to such writers as St. Augustine. This process of critical study began a journey that would eventually lead him Home to the Catholic Church of Jesus Christ.
