Blessed Dominic of the Mother of God, born Dominic Barberi (1792 – 1849) was an Italian theologian and a member of the Passionist Congregation. As a young novus, in 1814, God gave Blessed Dominic a vocation to work and pray for the conversion of England. Arriving in England, in 1841, he brought hundreds of people to Christ in the Catholic Church. In 1845, he received Blessed John Henry Newman into full-communion with the Catholic Church.
